So of the mountains I continually check up on and like to go to, here are some openings. I’m so glad that I don’t have to wait till January to go snowboarding, what a drag that is. And though I could have gone riding this weekend if I was paying attention, I did absolutely nothing, but I haven’t tuned my ride yet, so it’s ok. This weekend I plan to be on snow.

Any favs or local hills you have news on? Leave it with us, I’d love to know everything that’s going on on the East Coast.
Loveland and A-Basin have tied for opening day. Those lucky enough that live out there better appreciate it. And the video posted on EXPN.com shows it was fun. For October 15 both resorts were reporting an 18-inch base. I probably won’t experience the phenomenon of winter till late December, unless I take an early season trip somewhere. They both only had 1 lift open, but that’s enough for me. So for those of you who are missing out, watch this.
This is a stab at the blog thing. What better way to attempt it than at something I love. The title: Passion for an Addiction, means just that. It’s not some fancy title to get you to click, it’s the truth, and anyone who snowboards knows it. I like to write, I know I can write (at least that’s what my professor told me in college), and I like art, hence the design, so why not put all the things I’m good at together, and hopefully get something good in return. Like…readers?
I’m hoping my readers share in my passion, my longing for something so much it hurts. A feeling like that is something to be cherished, because very few people have it and it’s something that keeps you happy. If you don’t feel that way about something in your life, then what else is there? Even if your passion is not snowboarding, I wish you luck in finding it.
Coincidentally, the launch of this blog is right around the time that I start getting super antsy about the upcoming riding season, start looking for deals on gear and start seeing who wants to ride where this season and how to get the money to do it. Now, how do you kick off the season?
